In addition to offering specialised services himself, Ged co-ordinates client work for the company ensuring the advanced skills of the GenEng Solutions team are best utilised to fill roles of Owner’s Representative and Project Managers for major undertakings, while also providing other traditional engineering consultancy services. Ged has extensive experience in all facets of Civil Engineering work including roadworks, stormwater drainage, sewerage, water supply, hydrology and hydraulic analysis.

Graduating in 2004, Ben has over 17 years of experience in State and Local Government and consulting firms. Ben’s experience and career have been based on working for multiple local governments in roles ranging from general civil engineering tasks through to secondments for management roles. Engagement in such roles has developed Ben’s knowledge of budgets, council functions, community impacts and the need to provide an integrated service to establish positive outcomes; all while making a commitment to improving service provision by simplifying processes.
Ben’s project delivery experience includes undertaking the role of Superintendent and Project Manager on behalf of local governments for significant projects, as well as the management of capital works programs and the development of large private subdivisions. Ben specialises in estimating, project planning and management of major civil projects, including water supply, sewerage, recycled water, roadworks, utility services and stormwater drainage.

Nadia has extensive experience across a wide range of civil engineering work and roles, undertaking professional engineering consultancy work and various project engineering works and roles in planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations of roads and civil infrastructure. Nadia provides a high level of expertise across infrastructure planning projects, design projects, and operational activities being undertaken by the firm, particularly those involving transport planning, traffic operations and stormwater management.

Graduating in 2004, Cameron has over 17 years’ experience in State and Local Government. Much of Cameron’s career has involved project management with a strong emphasis on road, drainage, and waste-water infrastructure. Cameron has gained a strong understanding of State Government quality and safety requirements from his previous roles and prior involvement in Local Government positions has provided Cameron extensive experience in investigations, strategic management and the development of effective management systems.

LEONARD KNIGHT

Graduating in 2013 after studying while employed in a local government engineering role, Leonard has 16 years’ experience in civil engineering in both local government and as a consultant. Len is currently responsible for a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects including the detailed design of a 530-lot residential development, delivery of contemporary temporary traffic management solutions, and forward planning and design for a Council’s capital works program.
Leonard specialises in civil design, however, he has a broad range of experience in other engineering processes—having progressed in roles from GIS, survey and design through to construction delivery and maintenance. This progression has given Leonard a unique skill set in applying principals of both design and construction at each stage of a project life cycle to achieve superior project outcomes. Leonard also has a keen interest in hydraulic and hydrological modelling, using a variety of contemporary software to investigate, plan and design stormwater solutions for both urban and rural situations

Robyn has over 26 years of business and accounting experience gained through various accounting and human resource roles in Local Government and in the private sector in major engineering consultancies.
While engaged in these various roles and by undertaking further study, Robyn has developed a high level of competency in accounting, budgeting, payroll, and human resources. Demonstrated abilities include meeting timeframes of key stakeholders and adherence to legislative requirements. Robyn also has experience in company financial data returns and the preparation and interpretation of statistical information.

DAVID TAYLOR

David joined the GenEng team in 2017 while completing his studies and graduated in 2018. David provides assistance to the GenEng design function and in the delivery of consultancy services.
David specialises in design and has been exposed to a broad range of projects at both concept and detailed design stages, such as a 530-lot subdivision and an Industrial Business Park. Included are a number of design projects from local Councils. David has also had exposure to construction management projects and has assisted in delivery of subdivisions, survey, and technical assistance for a TMR road project and concrete structures.

NICK PALM

Nick has over 14 years’ experience in civil design, construction, maintenance, traffic engineering, strategic planning, corridor management and project management of Local Government and Transport and Main Roads (TMR) infrastructure assets. For the past four (4) years Nick has worked as a Contract Engineer, and currently engaged by TMR in the Darling Downs District Operations Branch as engineering support for heavy vehicle management. During this time Nick has also undertaken other traffic engineering projects for GenEng Solutions including Road Safety Audits, signage reviews and road safety reviews/risk assessments.
Nick’s experience in Local Government roles have assumed responsibility for managing technical and field-based employees to deliver capital works and maintenance operations totaling $89 million. Nick has experience in the management and delivery of Council infrastructure assets, DTMR Minor Works Performance Contracts (MWPC), RMPC, major rehabilitation projects, reseal programs, route assessments and NDRRA emergent works and restoration. Nick also has demonstrated abilities in strategic planning for works programs, strategic asset management plans and developing levels of service for maintaining infrastructure assets.

LEISA FITZGERALD

Leisa has over 26 years experience in administration and business support services, including company administrative processes, report preparation, finance and payroll processing, and quality systems. This experience enables a high level of support to be offered to the GenEng team ensuring smooth and efficient operations to assist with timely delivery of client projects.
Leisa contributes to client services with the development of grant funding applications, contract administration assistance and various other administrative support roles. Leisa also ensures ongoing maintenance of the GenEng Integrated Management System to achieve our third party accreditation.

While Michelle has been engaged in numerous positions, she has also been volunteering her skill and knowledge for multiple non-profit, public, and private sectors giving her a wealth of invaluable experience that can be applied in accounting, budgeting, tax financials and management roles. Matt has 10 years’ experience in Local Government asset management practice and procedures. Matt’s experience includes roles involving asset management system administration, data mining, analysis and modelling as well as capital and maintenance program optimisation.
Matt specialises in asset management and planning, with demonstrated experience in asset condition rating, service level analysis and reporting, asset lifecycle management and long-term asset renewal forecasting. Matts worked with all facets of local government asset types from roads and drainage through to fleet and intangibles, ensuring informed decisions are made from available data in both financial and operating aspects of an asset’s lifecycle.
