Local Government
Our experienced professionals have strong backgrounds in Local Government; many of them having worked at all levels for regional councils prior to joining GenEng.
State Government
Our team has extensive experience in a variety of State Government roles and areas within the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). We provide engineers and inspectors under IBCP and CFEP arrangements.
Private Developers
We work closely with property developers and private asset owners to help them bring their visions to life. Whether that is a new driveway or a 600-lot subdivision.
ADVISE
GenEng provides strategic civil engineering advice to local government, state government agencies, and private developers across Queensland. Our advisory services draw on deep technical knowledge and direct council experience, helping clients make sound decisions before committing to design or construction. For residential land development, we identify engineering constraints at the outset, reducing the risk of costly surprises later.

Represent
GenEng fills technical and executive gaps within client organisations through secondment and inspection services. Our staff have worked at all levels of Queensland local government and within the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), and understand how to integrate effectively within existing teams and workflows.

Plan
GenEng’s design team delivers infrastructure planning and civil design services for local government clients, state agencies, and private developers across Southeast Queensland and regional Queensland. We address site constraints — including reactive soils, flooding and drainage issues, protected vegetation, and sensitive services — early in the planning process to avoid design rework and construction delays.
Our planning services include:
- Water supply planning, network design, and demand assessment
- Stormwater management plans
- Traffic impact assessment
- Detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure
- Land development engineering
- Asset management plans and policy frameworks
Our civil design portfolio spans rural and urban roads, car parks, floodways, large culverts, streetscape works, landfill sites, and water and sewerage infrastructure.
Deliver
GenEng provides project management, contract administration, and engineering supervision for civil infrastructure projects across Queensland. Our project managers have strong backgrounds in Queensland local government infrastructure delivery, meaning we understand client constraints, procurement obligations, and community expectations as well as the technical requirements of each project.

- Project management and contract supervision of Council aquatic facilities
